Palmares:
1994 WORLD CHAMPION 500
1995 WORLD CHAMPION 500
1996 WORLD CHAMPION 500
1997 WORLD CHAMPION 500
1998 WORLD CHAMPION 500

Michael "Mick" Doohan was born in Brisbane, Australia, June 4, 1965 500cc world champion five consecutive times from 1994 to 1998. Began his career in the Superbike World Championship, where he ran in 1988, winning a race in Japan, and both those in Australia. He also competed in the 500 cc class, managing to win numerous races and five consecutive world titles: 54 victories achieved in 500 permit, currently, Doohan to be the third rider in number of WINS preceded only by Valentino Rossi and Giacomo Agostini. Originally from the Gold Coast, near Brisbane, debuted in Grand Prix racing in 1989 with a Honda NSR 500. Having competed with success during the early 1990s risked amputation of a leg due to a serious incident occurred in Assen (the Netherlands) in 1992, which has caused incident of permanent damage. After a period of rehabilitation, he returned to run winning five consecutive 500cc class World Championship between 1994 and 1998 (after him, just another Australian to win in the premier class world title: Casey Stoner in 2007). A peculiar trait of Doohan's driving in the aftermath of the incident was to operate the rear brake instead of the normal right pedal (for the inability to modulate the force required due to leg injury) through a command by hand (an additional lever "to push" located on the left handlebar). Some commentators have argued that this technique was driving for Doohan an advantage in rear brake control, although nothing prohibiting other runners to try this solution (and some in fact attempted). In 1997 he got the record, still unbeaten, of 12 victories in a single season in the premier class. In 1999 suffered a new unfortunate incident which, due to the new leg, breaking it caused the forced retirement. After retiring from racing, he worked as an advisor for the racing Department of Honda, that relationship ended at the end of the 2004 season.

EDDIE LAWSON

Palmares:
1984 WORLD CHAMPION 500
1986 WORLD CHAMPION 500
1988 WORLD CHAMPION 500
1989 WORLD CHAMPION 500

Eddie Lawson (born March 11, 1958 in Upland, California) is a former four-time Grand Prix motorcycle racing World Champion. His penchant for not crashing & consistently finishing in the points earned him the nickname "Steady Eddie".
Lawson began his motorcycle racing career in the Southern California dirt track circuit. When it became increasingly difficult to find machinery able to compete with the dominant Harley Davidsons, he switched his attention to road racing. In 1979, Lawson finished the season second behind Freddie Spencer in the AMA 250cc road racing National Championship. Afterwards, he was offered a ride with the Kawasaki Superbike team and won the AMA Superbike Series in 1981 and 1982. He also won the AMA 250cc road racing National Championship in 1980 and 1981 for Kawasaki.
Lawson accepted an offer from Yamaha to contest the 500cc World Championship as Kenny Roberts' team-mate for the 1983 season. Lawson spent the 1983 season learning the ropes of the Grand Prix circuit[disambiguation needed. In 1984, Lawson began winning regularly and won the 1984 world championship. It would mark the first of four world titles Lawson would go on to win. After winning two more titles for Yamaha in 1986 and 1988, Lawson shocked the racing world by announcing he would be leaving Yamaha to sign with their arch-rivals Honda fulfilling his desire to work with Erv Kanemoto. He went on to win the 1989 title for Honda, becoming the first rider to win back-to-back championships on machines from different manufacturers.
In 1990, Lawson won the Suzuka 8 Hours endurance race on a Yamaha FZR750R OW01 paired with Japanese rider Tadahiko Taira.Lawson also won the Daytona 200 in 1986 and came out of retirement to win it again in 1993. When he retired from GP racing in the early 1990s, he ranked third on the all-time 500cc Grand Prix wins list with 31.
After finishing his motorcycle career, Lawson pursued a career in open wheel single seater racing in the United States competing in the Indy Lights series and eventually to CART. In the 1996 IndyCar season, he competed in 11 races with his best results being two sixth place finishes at U.S. 500 and the Detroit Indy Grand Prix. His passion for speed remains undiminished and the former World Champion now enjoys driving 250cc Superkarts often accompanied by his great friend and rival Wayne Rainey, who races in a specially modified Superkart to cope with his spinal injuries.   Foto gallery   https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipPyWpdLLeAMpipBxRs2d8uN5eMELjrdiSMkH5lYRVFzSB1W4kIRVibAKUTrApryLA?key=UG1CcHUtV0hva182RzhJZTFLOEE4UDBBd0M3NFJR

TRIBUTE OF LUCA CADALORA

Palmares:

1986 WORLD CHAMPION 125

1991 WORLD CHAMPION 250

 1992 WORLD CHAMPION 250

Luca Cadalora (Modena, May 17, 1963) world champion in the 125cc class in 1986 and twice in the 250cc class in 1991 and 1992. Certainly one of the best Italian drivers of all time.

Cadalora began his professional motorcycle racing career in 1984, riding an MBA in the 125cc world championship. In 1986, he won the 125cc World Championship while riding for the Garelli factory racing team. His success earned him a promotion to the 250cc class with Giacomo Agostini's Marlboro Yamaha factory racing team in 1986. In 1991, Cadalora switched to the Rothmans Honda factory racing team and won the 250cc World Championship aboard an Erv Kanemoto-tuned Honda NSR250.He successfully defended his title with Honda in 1992, claiming his third world championship.

In 1993 he rose to the blue riband 500cc division as Wayne Rainey's team mate in the Kenny Roberts-Yamaha team.In three seasons on the Roberts Yamaha, he displayed flashes of brilliance, finishing as high as second to Mick Doohan in 1994. Cadalora rejoined Kanemoto for the 1996 season, racing a Honda NSR500. Despite lacking any major sponsors, he still managed to finish the season in third place aboard the Kanemoto-Honda.

For the 1997 season, he got a contract as official Yamaha rider in the new Promotor Racing team, backed by an Austrian businessman, but after few races the squad fell in financial problems. WCM rescued the team with the help of a Red Bull sponsorship and Cadalora ended the season in sixth place. At the beginning of the 1998 season, both WCM and Cadalora lost the Yamaha official support. He returned to the Rainey-Yamaha works team for a few races to replace an injured Jean-Michel Bayle, then helped develop the new MuZ race bike. In 1999 he was again with MuZ. Cadalora closed out his career with Kenny Roberts' Modenas team in 2000.

In an era rich in talent, with competitors such as Doohan, Rainey and Schwantz, Cadalora was considered an enigma.Capable of defeating the best riders in the world on certain days, he would just as often post poor results, so lacked consistency at the highest levels of the sport. He retired with 34 Grand Prix victories in three different classes.

In 1982 and in 1983 won the AMA, one of the most important motorcycling tournaments among those held in the United States of America, flying before a private motion and then a Honda. In 1985 he returned to racing with Yamaha, Waxman, the World Endurance, reserved for motorbikes displacement was equal to 750. Two years later he moved to Spain, where she ran the 250 class European Championship, taking two WINS. In 1988 gramigni in "two and a half" (another name of 250) taking note of the United States Grand Prix, in which he obtained a fourth place. The following season, he won two races (in Japan and the USA) and as a reward his team allowed him to debut in the premier class, 500 in the Belgium Grand Prix, where he arrived fifth in front of sacred monsters of this sport such as Mick Doohan and Pierfrancesco Chili. In 1990 he became world champion in the 250 following seven first places (in Grands Prix held in the United States, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Hungary and in the Grand Prix of Nations) and Gladden raggranellati 223 points in the final standings. Since that moment moved to 500cc, where it ran until the end of his career except for a little adventure with the Suzuki 250 during the season in 1993. In his first year he won the 500cc Grand Prix Malaysia, which earned him the 4° place in the final ranking. Best luck was the 1992 season, where again he won the last race on the calendar (in this case, the South African Grand Prix) and finished in third position at the end of the year. In 1993 he moved to Cagiva, with whom she had an unlucky season that does not preclude, however, the victory on the home circuit. In 1994 Kocinski seemed in better shape pilot at the beginning of the season, and after the victory in Australia and second place in Malaysia was first in the standings, but a potential loss of his Cagiva C594 prevented him from fighting for the Summit, closing the season on the lowest rung of the podium behind Doohan and Luca Cadalora. The tremendous disappointment convinced him to abandon the world to devote himself to the Superbike World Championship, where in 1996 came third with a Ducati. The following year he was champion thanks to Honda, scoring the aggiudò world. Back in MotoGP World Championship with the same Japanese team racing in the 500 in 1998 and in 1999, without, however, gained appreciable results: his last podium goes back to that day in May 23, 1999 Grand Prix of France finished behind Alex Criville but before the Japanese Tetsuya Harada. In 2000 he returned stateside for the Ama Superbike race, which ended in seventh place; from 2001 to 2002 he was the test driver for Team Yamaha, who was preparing to go into MotoGP. A few days later, he announced his retirement from racing.
